Main Library

The Main Library is home to a variety of events and activities for both children and teenagers. For children ages 2 to 4, there is a special program called Tot Time. During Tot Time, children will have the opportunity to listen to stories, sing songs, and engage in art activities. This event will take place at 4 p.m. on October 19th, and registration is required.

For teenagers, there is a Halloween-themed craft activity. Teens can pick up a grab-and-go craft bag starting on October 17th. The bags contain supplies to make a Halloween bracelet. Additionally, there is another craft event where teens can create a faux taxidermy mount for creepy crawlers. They can choose their own colors to paint a plaque and bug. This event will take place at 5 p.m. on October 18th, and registration is required.

Adena Branch

The Adena Branch also offers events for both children and teenagers. For children ages 2 to 6, there is an event called Play and Learn the Alphabet. During this event, children will have the opportunity to play and learn with alphabet-related toys and activities. This event will take place at 11:30 a.m. on October 19th.

Teens at the Adena Branch can also participate in the faux taxidermy craft event. Similar to the Main Library event, teens can choose their own colors to paint a plaque and bug. This event will be held at 5:30 p.m. on October 17th, and registration is required. Additionally, there is a craft event where teens can create artwork on canvas using Sharpies. This event will take place at 5 p.m. on October 19th, and all supplies will be provided.

Brilliant Branch

At the Brilliant Branch, there are events for both children and adults. For children ages 2 to 6, there is a special Story Hour event where they can discover the magic of books, songs, and rhymes. This event will be held at 6 p.m. on October 17th.

Adults at the Brilliant Branch can attend an informative session about Medicare plans and scams. Tracy McManamon from One Source Benefits will be conducting this session at 1 p.m. on October 16th, and registration is required. Additionally, there is a coloring event designed specifically for adults. This event will take place at 6 p.m. on October 19th.

Dillonvale and Mount Pleasant Branch

The Dillonvale and Mount Pleasant Branch offers events for children, teenagers, and adults. For children ages 2 to 6, there is a Musical Monday event where they can enjoy a combination of music and books at the library. This event will be held at 11:30 a.m. on October 16th, and registration is required.

Teens at this branch can also participate in the faux taxidermy craft event, where they can choose colors to paint a plaque and bug. This event will take place at 5:30 p.m. on October 16th, and registration is required. Adults can attend the same informative session about Medicare plans and scams, which will be conducted by Tracy McManamon from One Source Benefits at 1 p.m. on October 16th. Additionally, there is a book club meeting scheduled for this month to discuss “One Italian Summer” by Rebecca Serle. The club will meet at 10 a.m. on October 17th, and interested individuals can call to join.

Schiappa Branch

The Schiappa Branch offers events for children and teenagers. For children ages 2 to 6, there is an event called Play and Learn the Alphabet. Similar to the Adena Branch event, this event allows children to play with toys that promote letter knowledge. There are two sessions available, one at 6 p.m. on October 19th and another at 10:30 a.m. on October 20th.

Teenagers at the Schiappa Branch can join the Anime Club, which is specifically for ages 11 to 17. During this club meeting, teens will have the opportunity to make a tote bag. This event will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on October 18th, and registration is required.

Tiltonsville Branch

The Tiltonsville Branch offers events for children and adults. For children ages 2 to 6, there is a Story Hour event where they can discover the magic of books, songs, and rhymes. This event will be held at 6 p.m. on October 16th.

Adults at the Tiltonsville Branch have the opportunity to get a flu shot in the library’s parking lot. The Jefferson County General Health District mobile unit will be present from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on October 19th. All insurance cards are accepted, and the vaccination is $25 for those without insurance and free to those who qualify.

The Toronto Branch offers events for children and teenagers. For children ages 2 to 4, there is a special event called Tot Time. Teenagers at the Toronto Branch can participate in a craft event where they can make a monster wreath. All supplies will be provided, and registration is required. This event will be held at 5:30 p.m. on October 19th.
